The article says car break-ins around Clackamas Town Center have spiked in the last 6 months. What they don't say in the article, is it could be the new MAX line, wherever you bring light rail, brings crime with it. Although the article does not mention it, its all over the comments at the end of the story.

You know, there was also a serious uptick in the crime rate when they put the mall there, too.
Maybe we should blame crime on malls.
There is a correlation but its not the rails that create it. There is a segment on Zeitgeist that deals with crime and why it exists.
